Indications

ENEBRA is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus infection in adults with evidence of active viral replication and either evidence of persistently elevated serum aminotransferases (ALT or AST) or histologically active disease. The following points should be considered when initiating therapy with ENEBRA: - This indication is based on histological, virological, biochemical and serological responses in nucleoside-naive and lamivudine-resistant adult patients with HBeAg-positive or HBeAg-negative chronic HBV infection and compensated liver disease. - A controlled trial provides virological, biochemical, serological and safety data in adult patients with chronic HBV infection and decompensated liver disease. - Virological, biochemical, serological and safety data are available for a limited number of HIV/HBV co-infected adult patients previously treated with lamivudine.
