Indications

VILDYNE is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise in patients with type 2 diabetes: - As monotherapy, when diet and exercise alone are inadequate. - As dual oral therapy: with metformin when diet, exercise and metformin alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control; with a sulphonylurea when diet, exercise and the sulphonylurea alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control; with a thiazolidinedione when diet, exercise and the thiazolidinedione alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control. - As triple oral therapy: with metformin and a sulphonylurea when diet, exercise and dual therapy with these medicines do not provide adequate glycaemic control. VILDYNE is also indicated in combination with insulin (with or without metformin) when diet, exercise and a stable dose of insulin do not provide adequate glycaemic control.
